Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 Headset

Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 HeadsetHeadset designed for use with Windows Live Messenger

This headset is perfect for Windows Live Messenger; it works like a dream. It’s so easy to use. Just plug it in and you’re set to go.

This isn’t the most comfortable headset around. Actually, it’s too tight to be comfortable at all. It’ll feel better after it’s broken in, but even then I still found it to be too tight. Also, this headphone doesn’t work well with other applications.

This is a good headset for those who use Windows Live Messenger, and for people with very small-sized heads. I would’ve liked to see more versatility in this headset.

Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 Headset: The Good And The Bad

This headset is best when used with Windows Live Messenger and it’s not at all comfortable to wear.

The Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 Headset is a must have for those who frequently use Windows Live Messenger.  This headset can also be used when watching movies, using a different instant messenger, listening to music, or anything else that requires sound. However, it won’t perform with other applications as well as it does with Windows Live Messenger.

This product is mainly used for voice chats or calls.  It can be used for online phone calls and possibly gaming but be prepared for poor audio sound.  It works best with voice calls.  Other applications tend to fall a little flat.  With that said, the good here is that this headset has a noise canceling feature that allows you to ignore everything around you. I’ve heard better noise canceling in my day, but this one wasn’t too bad.

A plus here is that the Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 is one of the easiest to install.  You plug the receiver into the appropriate port on the back of your computer and you’re ready to go.

The Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 headset is set at a pretty reasonable price of $40.  That won’t break the bank. Plus, this headset seems durable and able to stand some good wear and tear. This is a convenient product to have if you spend most of your time at the computer using Windows Live Messenger. Unfortunately, it’s not as comfortable as it looks.

There are definitely better headsets out there than the Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000.  This one’s just not as good as a decent headset should be.
