This headset has good sound and good wireless reception. Now, all it needs is more comfort.
Those who work in an office are going to really like the
wireless capabilities of the Plantronics CS55 headset. Being able to move around the room without
having to worry about the cord getting tangled on books or papers or spilling
your coffee all over the desk is great. Until
you’ve tried a wireless headset like this one, you can’t possibly imagine the
freedom!
I was impressed at how far away I was able to get from the
base while retaining connection. I was
even able to leave the room and still talk without static or interruption of
sound. This was perfect for me since I’m
always on the move, as are you, I’m sure. Being able to have that kind of
freedom is priceless.
I loved the sound, it was clear and the volume was just
right as soon as I put them on. I’ve had only wired headsets in the past and
the Plantronics CS55s sounded just as good. I also liked how easily I could get to the
buttons on the headset. There are no odd
or annoying angles - the buttons are easily accessible.
There are two different ways you can wear the Plantronics
CS55 headset. You can choose to wear them over your head or over your ears. The
biggest problem I found with this headset was that no matter which way I chose
to wear them, I wasn’t that comfortable. I blame this on the earpieces; they’re too
hard for my tender little ears. When I’m
at the office, I wear my headset for hours on end and it didn’t take long until
my ears started hurting.
Comfort wasn’t the only problem with the earpieces either, they
kept falling off when I used these over the ear, especially when I had to bend
to pick something up. There are different sizes but none of them fit me right. Whether the earpieces aren’t sized
effectively or I have weird-shaped ears, either way it takes away from the
experience of this otherwise fantastic headset.
That said, I tend to be pretty hard on these sorts of
devices but I found the Plantronics CS55 headset and lifter to be extremely
durable. I’m always dropping it, bumping
it with books etc. and it still works perfectly.
The quality of sound, the durability, and the strength
of the wireless reception all make this a great headset for business setting. If Plantronics could make the earpieces more comfortable,
this would be the perfect office accessory.
