The Good

The Altec Lansing AHS515 provides surprisingly good sound. The ear cups are durable and comfortable to wear. After a little while you’ll forget you’re wearing anything over your head. They also do a good job of keeping extraneous noise out.

The Bad

Ear cups are attached by fragile plastic clips. Some say they hear white noise when no sounds or music is playing.

For less than $40, the Altec Lansing AHS515 headset is a great buy. With rich, deep lows and crisp highs, it’s no wonder why buyers are pleasantly surprised when they try this headset for the first time. Unfortunately, they’re not constructed to resists damage from being dropped or mishandled.
