A great mobile headset at a great price. What more could you ask for?
A good set of laptop headphones, especially ones with a
microphone, are difficult to find. While it’s true that any old headset will
work (for the most part), finding one that has a host of useful features and a
convenient travel size is rare. So, I
was very excited to try out Logitech’s new notebook headset.
Aesthetically, this is one good-looking headset. There
aren’t any flashy colors or obnoxious LEDs. Its combination of silver,
charcoal, and black design is very stylish. The included travel case is
awesome, too. While the average user probably won’t understand the importance
of this, the mobile user will smile. Most notebook headsets come with a travel
pouch that offers no protection when placed in a carryon bag or crowded
briefcase. Fortunately, this hard
carrying case will ensure a long life for your Logitech Premium Notebook
Headset.
The adjustable earpieces offer a comfortable fit.
One-size-fits-all headphones tend to be uncomfortable if you have a slightly
larger or smaller head than the average person, but these headphones don’t
cause an issue.
I really appreciated its inline volume control, as
well. Unfortunately, it’s not yet a
standard to include this feature on all headphones, so it’s definitely nice
when you find an inline volume control. People have reported the around the
back style of the headband can become uncomfortable after a while, but I
haven’t had any problems myself.
The audio performance on this headset is stellar. The
microphone accurately captured sound with minimal background interference, and
the headphones reproduced rich clear sounds. The noise cancellation worked
especially well and the people I talked to over Skype reported that my voice
was crystal clear. For this price point, these are all the features I could’ve
expected out of the Logitech Premium Notebook Headset and then some.
