The Good

These headsets are lightweight, so children won’t have a difficult time putting or keeping them on. All three models are both PC and Mac compatible. The cord comes with extra slack but is also reinforced to resist getting yanked out by accident. Attached are volume/mute controls and an on/off switch.

The Bad

As opposed to other Califone headsets that have 1-year warranties, the Multimedia Stereo Headsets comes only with a 90 day warranty on the 3064AV/AV-BL models and a 6-month warranty on the 3065-USB. Moreover, you may find the microphone is a bit too large for smaller children.

The Multimedia Stereo Headset is the ideal supplementary for digital classrooms. The headset comes in 3 models: The 3064-USB, 3064AV and the 3064AV-BL. For the most part, all of the features are pretty much the same with the exception of its connection ports. The lightweight 3064-USB is a high-speed plug and play headset with a backwards-compatible USB 2.0 plug which eliminates the need for a sound card. As compared to the 3064AV, instead of a USB cord it comes with a 3.5mm mini-plug that is PC and Mac compatible. The 3064AV-BL functions exactly like the 3064AV. The biggest difference is that instead of the traditional white it comes in blueberry. Generally, all three products have omnidirectional electret microphones with wind shield directivity on flexible goosenecks. The 8 foot connection cord is reinforced to resist accidental pull out for classroom safety. The cord also comes with an accessible in-volume and mute control attached, as well as a mic on/off feature. These models also feature on-ear ambient noise-reducing ear cups. Not only is the 3064 series perfect for multimedia applications, but it is also ideal for language learning, music theory / appreciation classes, adult literacy groups, general listening and call center uses.
