Motorola
Rated #4 among America’s 100 Best Corporate Citizens of 2007 in CRO magazine, Motorola paves the way in the communications industry. Paul V. Galvin and brother Joseph Galvin launched the company on September 25, 1928 and began manufacturing public safety networks and car radios. By 1969, Motorola had designed and created equipment used to transmit from the moon the first words. In 1983, the company manufactured the first hand held cellular telephone and in 1990, they were the first to launch HDTV.
Today, Motorola manufactures everything from two-way radios and cell phones, to government equipment and cable broadcast products. The Motorola Bluetooth Experience, as the company calls it, refers to Motorola having incorporated Bluetooth technology into many of their products. Their mobile phone Bluetooth headsets are especially popular. Many range from $50 to about $100. You can find them at cell phone retailers or at almost any online retailer. They’re small, sleek, and convenient. Plus, with the many color variations available today, they’ve become a very attractive must have.
