Countryman is a manufacturer of inconspicuous headsets for purpose related to theatre, houses of worship, high-profile video, colleges, trade shows, and more.   The name has been around for 30 years, and although many people may not be familiar with the brand or the headsets themselves, that’s sort of the point, the company says.  These headsets are extremely lightweight and difficult to notice when worn because they’re very thin and skin-colored.  They’re meant to be very discreet, but at the same time, they’re also meant to deliver excellent audio while canceling vibration, wind and other interference.

Countryman offers different colors for headsets.  You may choose from light beige, tan, cocoa, or black.  Tan is the most popular, says the company, because it blends well with most skin tones such as average Caucasian and olive skin.  Light beige is the choice for people with very fair skin and is most often used in theatrical applications.  Cocoa is popular for African American skin and black is the choice for those with very dark skin or for people who want the microphone to be visible.  If you’re unsure of which color to choose, Countryman suggests customers go with the darker shade.  Choosing a shade that’s too light has the tendency to look like a blemish or scar over the face.
