Logitech Extreme PC Gaming Headset Wii

An inexpensive, high quality, microphone headset

Inexpensive headsets are the bread and butter of the online gaming community. Finding one that provides a great balance of features and price like the Logitech Extreme PC Gaming Headset is a welcome change.

Sound quality wasn’t the best I’ve ever heard, but then again this headset is a lot more affordable than other gaming ones out there. The sound should’ve had a little more boom to it.

A great buy for the MMO gamer. Strikes the right balance between price and features. This isn’t a throwaway headset, but if it happens to break after you’ve thrown it against a wall in frustration after an intense round of whatever you’ve been playing, you won’t be crushed.

Logitech Delivers A Great Online Gaming Headset

A great buy for the MMO gamer. Strikes the right balance between price and features. This isn’t a throwaway headset, but if it happens to break after you’ve thrown it against a wall in frustration after an intense round of whatever you’ve been playing, you won’t be crushed.

Being an avid online gamer, I know better than to invest a ton of money in gaming headphones. Comfort, style, and performance are all important; but when your entire party wipes in Black Wing Lair because of a warlock who couldn’t manage his agro, the headphones are the first thing you’ll throw to the floor in an angry fit.  Therefore, price and durability are always at the top of my list.

I was fresh off a World of Warcraft binge session when the Logitech Extreme PC Gaming Headset arrived in the mail. The styling was satisfying. The plain black headband with accents of charcoal was nice and simple. The no frills styling of the boom mic was also pleasing.

I was a little apprehensive at the sight of the headband on the Logitech Extreme PC Gaming Headset. Round the back style headbands are known to be uncomfortable after a couple hours, and many gamers tend to play in about four hour periods. Fortunately, I had no problems with the fit or comfort level of the headset, even after several hours of playing.

The audio performance of the headset was acceptable. These are definitely not the best headphones I’ve ever heard, but they’re affordable so what can you expect. The treble is clear and the bass is fine, not extraordinary, but enough to get you into the game.

The noise canceling microphone preformed well. There was very little interference, and the mic produced clear audio. I was actually pretty impressed with its quality. Oftentimes when a boom microphone doesn’t have wind padding, the resulting speech sounds very windy and breathy. However, none of this was evident with the Logitech headset.
