Why VOIP Headsets?
VoIP stands for Voice Over Internet Protocol. This technology takes an analog voice signal from a telephone and converts it to a digital signal in order to send it via the Internet to the receiver telephone. This allows a person to make calls directly from his or her computer. Special VoIP telephones can be used as well as traditional phones that are connected to an adapter. Headsets used for this technology are computer headsets that usually connect via USB and are digitally enhanced for Internet talk. Special wires are also available to interface between the VoIP adapter and a headset.
