Aliph Jawbone Noise Shield Bluetooth HeadsetNoise-shielding Bluetooth headset

The design of the Aliph Jawbone headset is very stylish and appealing. It is made of medical grade plastic which gives the appearance of metal molding. The controls are also complementary and easy to navigate. The noise cancellation-feature is powerful and effective. The Noise Shield technology drowns out unwanted surrounding “noise” while permitting the user’s voice to be heard loud and clear.

Raising the volume is easier than lowering it via the button on the headset. New users may find it helpful to fit the headset to the ear in front of a mirror the first time.

Overall, the Aliph Jawbone headset is very sleek and uniquely manufactured. If the main purpose is to evade boisterous surrounding noise while maintaining a clear audible conversation, than the headset is more than capable. This headset is extremely comfortable and you're likely to forget there's anything attached to your ear.

The Aliph Jawbone Noise Shield Bluetooth Headset is designed by Yves Behar. Its appealing design is due to its medical grade plastic casing and slick functionality. It comes in various colors including: Grey, Black, Red and Silver.

The adaptive noise cancellation feature enhances the call’s volume by measuring the level of surrounding noise around you. As a result, the user is able to hear audible sounds from the headset extremely clearly. The Aliph Jawbone also incorporates adaptive sound technology and emphasizes the importance of making sure the voice activity sensor as the end of the headset touches your cheek to ensure callers hear you properly. Using a voice activity sensor and two microphones, it is able to differentiate between voice vibrations from the mouth and noise from the environment, giving the most exceptional quality of sound for both parties.

The Aliph Jawbone Noise Shield Bluetooth Headset has a no-brainer interface. Two buttons, one for talk and the other for Noise Shield, make using the Jawbone Headset very easy. Simply press the talk button once to answer or end a call, or press and hold for three seconds to turn the headset On/Off. Press and hold the Noise Shield button for three seconds while headset is off for pairing (after you've enabled your phone's Bluetooth feature), or while it's on, press and hold for three seconds to turn Noise Shield On/Off. Jawbone's Noise Shield technology is on by default unless the user turns it off manually (even when turned off, however, the quality of sound emitted from the headset was impressive). Pressing this button once also increases the volume. The headset doesn't include a button to decrease volume; it resets when turned off and then on.

The Jawbone Headset also comes equipped with several earloop and earbud combinations to provide a customized fit. When you find the earloop and earbud that work best for you, you'll find the Jawbone Headset is extremely comfortable to wear. Careful, for you may forget you have anything on. We found that spending some time in front of a mirror helped us select the best fitting ear piece.

The Jawbone is designed with a built-in rechargeable battery. After connecting the headset to the USB cable, you have two options in which to charge the device: connect the USB plug directly into the wall charger to be charged from a standard 120V wall outlet, or charge it directly from a PC or MAC computer via a standard USB port. The LED indicator turns red while the battery charges and then turns white when charge is complete, turning the headset off.

The battery takes approximately two hours to fully charge and offers up to six hours of talk time. With moderate use, we used the Jawbone for three days on just one charge! The LED status indicator flashed red and the headset began beeping every minute as soon as battery power was running low.

The Aliph Jawbone Noise Shield Bluetooth Headset delivered in every way manufacturers said it would: sound quality, noise reduction, comfort, and aesthetic design. Undoubtedly, this headset is currently the best we've seen by far.
